Elections by Affirmation

When there is only one nominee for a particular Local Union or Unit office, the nomination of such individual is found to be valid, and the nominee meets all of the qualifications for election to such office, the Election Judge has the authority to elect such nominee by affirmation.

The final nomination meeting for our 2010 IBEW Local Union 1357 elections was held on December 25, 2009. The Election Board met on December 29, 2009 to determine the nominees’ eligibility for office and has deemed that the following members are the only nominees for their respective offices, their nominations are valid, they meet all of the qualifications for such offices, and they are eligible for election to such offices.

Therefore, the Election Judge has cast the unanimous vote to elect the following, by affirmation, to their respective Local Union and Unit offices for the 2010-2013 term of office. However, each nominee shall not take office until he/she is sworn into office at the first meeting of their respective offices in March 2010.
