certified LU 1357 as the bargaining representative for employees
of Micronesian Telecommunications Corp. on Saipan.

GTE
purchases Oahu Wireless; its employees become part of LU 1357's
bargaining unit. The purchase provides the opportunity for
members to become involved in the cable TV market, with the
potential for more jobs and advancement for the members as OW's
market expands.
